WASHINGTON
- American University Head Wrestling Coach Mark
Cody will watch the Olympics in August, but for him it will
be a little bit different- three of his former wrestlers from his
tenure at Oklahoma State University and Nebraska will be competing
for the Gold, including Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion

Kniezewski |
WASHINGTON
-- Tom Kniezewski walks
around like he’s got nothing but time to kill. His walk is
slow but deliberate and there’s not a hint of anxiety or excitement
in his face. His black and gold parka is bundled up so that the
collar just grazes his ears to protect them from the ice and snow
that is freshly fallen one February Friday afternoon. While the
rest of the student population has this winter day off, he’s
come to practice prepared, and there’s no reason to hurry.
A freshman on the American University wrestling team, Kniezewski,
by label of a Division 1 student-athlete, is a very busy individual.
The starting 141-lbs. wrestler for the Eagles, he has proved to
be a steadying force on a team that earned its first win four months
into the season on a wrestling team with just 10 practicing members
competing in the nation’s oldest wrestling conference, the
Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association. ...
