Bercovicz wins second straight match for Eagles

Aviv Bercovicz defeated UVA's Reed Landry at 149-lbs.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The American University wrestling team closed out its dual meet season with a 34-7 loss to Virginia Saturday.

Junior captain Aviv Bercovivz (Ocean, N.J./Ocean Township) earned his second straight match with a strong 20-4 major decision over Reed Landry at 149-lbs. to open the match.

Sophomore Kyle Mason (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) was the other AU winner with a 10-6 decision over Ram McDonnell at 184-lbs.

The Eagles will head to the EIWA National Qualifiers at Cornell University next month.
