WASHINGTON — Freshman Natalie Rodovsky (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) tied the game at one goal apiece early in the first half and then assisted on the game-winner to help American University snap a three-game losing streak and even its’ record in the Patriot League at 1-1. The game-winner for the Eagles came in the 67th minute and was scored by junior Anabel Jimenez (Kensington, Md./Bullis). Jimenez received the ball from Rodovsky in traffic and blasted it past Colgate keeper Kate Jassin (Huntington, N.Y./John Glenn). Jimenez had four shots on the day. In her fourth start goalkeeper Lauren Wohl (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air/Bucknell) had perhaps her best game and registered her first win at AU’s starting goalkeep. She had seven saves and gave up just a pair of goals. Colgate was led by Kate Barrett (Troy, N.Y./Lansingburgh), who scored the first goal of the game (just four minutes in), took five shots and assisted on the Raiders only other goal. Allison Bernardini’s (Highland, N.Y./Highland) goal nearly 75 minutes into the game made things interesting down the stretch. American (4-6-1/1-1-0) will next play at Lafayette October 11. Game Summary Scoring: Shots: AU 26; CU 12
