Cross Country Competes at George Washington Meet
Stats | September 29, 2001 The women rested their top four from last weekend's meet at Mount St. Mary's. American's women placed fourteenth out of 19 teams at the meet, just one point behind Johns Hopkins. The Eagles ran very well with every single competitor running the fastest time of her career. Leading the way for the Eagles was sophomore Leah Heinecke-Krumhus who placed 46th in the race with a time of 19:54.00. It was her first time to break the 20 minute barrier in a cross country race. Freshmen Heidi Fishpaw (20:01.00) and Megan Simpson (20:04.00) followed Heinecke-Krumhus in 54th and 56th place respectively. Rounding out the American contingent was Siobhan Unicake in 83rd (20:51.00), Lindsay Gilman in 94th (21:17.00), and Nicole Eldredge in 111th (23:08.00). Assistant coach Sascha Scott ran unattached and won the race with a time of 17:44.00. American returns to action Saturday, Oct. 6, when it returns to Bull Run Regional Park for the George Mason Invitational.
