AU Madrid | Madrid Business Program

Madrid Business Program Overview

The Madrid Business Program is a hybrid program offered jointly by the AU Madrid Center and a Spanish University in Madrid, the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. The program is offered during both the Fall and Spring semesters. Students take 1-3 business accredited courses at this Spanish university and the remainder of their classes are at the AU Madrid Center from the Iberian Experience, Intensive Spanish or Mediterranean program offerings. Students in this program routinely take courses that come back towards their KOGOD business major or minor. Students from other disciplines like Communications, Economics, Information Technology, and International Studies have also participated in this program.

The AU Madrid Center offers one special business course for this program entitled "Spain's Soccer Obsession: Managing and Marketing Soccer Clubs in Madrid." This unique course first explores the Spanish cultural obsession with the sport of soccer. It then provides students with an understanding of the dynamic and growing field of soccer as a business.
