The AU Madrid Center currently organizes an intensive summer Spanish language program and an internship program during the summer term. Both programs run during the first half of the summer term, usually mid-May through the end of June.
The five-week Intensive Spanish Language program allows students to quickly improve their Spanish language skills. The Spanish class runs four hours a day, five days a week and is combined with field trips and cultural activities to give students a well rounded introduction to Spanish language, culture, and society. Learn more about the Intensive Spanish Language program on the AU Abroad website>.
The six-week internship program gives students the opportunity to work at a Spanish organization for the duration of the program. The time spent at the organization is coupled with an internship seminar led by an instructor. In this seminar, students are able to discuss their internship experience with other interns and to learn more about other student’s placements. This is an opportunity to analyze challenges each intern is facing and how to best approach situations encountered in the internship.
