The American University Career Center supports the university’s commitment to uncompromising quality in the education of its students. The Career Center teaches undergraduates, graduate students and alumni how to develop educational and career goals, decision-making skills and job search strategies needed to manage their professional and academic pursuits.

The Career Center offers students and alumni a plethora of resources for finding jobs and internships, working on interview skills, editing their resumes, and successfully applying for employment and merit awards. This is accomplished via in-person advising with full-time, expert advisors, peer advising with other AU students, workshops and trainings, information sessions, online toolkits for interns and hopeful applicants, and AUCareerWeb, an online database of employment opportunities in the Washington, DC area and across the globe.

The Career Center is located on the fifth floor of the Butler Pavilion. Its hours of operation are:

Monday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Tuesday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

Wednesday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm

Thursday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
