The American University Cycling Team is a student-run organization focused on competitive road cycling. The team is open to riders of all abilities; members range from complete beginners to top-level national competitors. AU Cycling competes in the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Cycling Conference, which includes all colleges in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. ACCCC races offer ability-based categories, so all participants can race at a level they feel comfortable with. The AU team prides itself on developing new riders and teaching how to maximize each member's potential. Competitively, AU Cycling is a force to be reckoned with. In its entire history, the team has never been lower than 2nd in the Atlantic Coast standings. AU Cycling has consistently qualified for the Collegiate Cycling National Championships, and has always been among the top 10 teams in the country. Anyone interested in joining the Cycling Team is welcome; it is a great way to stay active, fit and competitive.
