GLBTA Resource Center

Created by Maggi Leduc on 03/12/2009 // Last Update by Maggi Leduc on 12/17/09

The mission of the Resource Center is to strengthen and sustain an inclusive campus community that welcomes people of all sexual orientations and gender identities by providing support, educational resources, and advocacy. In practical terms, this means that the Resource Center programs events throughout the semester, provides training and education on GLBT issues (through programs such as our Safe Space Sticker Program and our Rainbow Speakers Bureau), provides resources about GLBT issues, does campus advocacy to ensure that we have a safe and inclusive campus environment, and provides a safe drop-in space on campus. Each semester, between 8 and 10 students volunteer or work in the office regularly, more than 20 students volunteer as part of our various programs, more than 40 students drop in each week, and more than 300 students attend one of our events throughout the semester.
