A staff of 105 ARAMARK employees, led by housekeeping director and FM assistant director, Don MacIntire, work in three shifts around the clock to make sure the AU community has a clean and appealing campus to learn and work. The Housekeeping effort is in the process of transitioning to Green Cleaning. Their green cleaning program is focused on the implementation of sustainable cleaning practices throughout the University with the ultimate goal of improved and more environmentally sound cleaning practices. Aramark monitors the campuses through ongoing inspections, preventive maintenance, and assessment programs. This process is devised to assure reliability and fitness of our buildings, systems, and equipment, thus supporting the academic mission of the university.
