New Student Programs staff members work to make sure that you start your AU experience off right. They want you to feel comfortable and informed as you begin classes and start to explore Washington, DC. In order to do this, they have developed summer orientation programs for first year students and their parents, summer and fall programs for new transfer students, and an on-line program for graduate students. New Student Programs is also in charge of New Student Orientation, Transfer Transitions, Welcome Week, First Year Fundamentals, Discover DC, Freshman Service Experience, Graduate Student Welcome, and Family Weekend. New students will receive orientation and Welcome Weeks brochures on a rolling basis beginning in April.
