If you will be taking courses in "nondegree" status at AU, that means that you do not have to apply for admission in order to take courses. The registrar's website contains our electronic course descriptions, schedule of classes, information on course costs and how to register for both undergraduate or graduate courses. Access this information at: http://www.american.edu/american/registrar/.

As you will note, school or departmental approval may be required for nondegree registration in many courses. International students who are not permanent residents have a special set of requirements. Please make sure that you review the information on the registrar's website before beginning the registration process.
