This graduate semester-long program allows AU graduate students to earn up to 9 credits toward their respective M.A. degree. Classes are offered alongside other UPEACE students on a variety of international studies topics such as environmental protectionism, international law, media, peace, and conflict studies. The UPEACE academic calendar typically runs from August – December for the fall semester, and from January – May for the spring semester.
Because this is an English-based institution, no prior Spanish language skills are required, but of course, are recommended. The program is open to all graduate students from any AU school or college.
The application deadline for study in Fall 2010 is April 5. For further information and to obtain an application, visit: http://www.american.edu/sis/sisabroad/gradsemester/upeace.cfm
