This program examines the impact of political development, economic modernization, and transnational issues on globalizing East and Southeast Asia.  The program consists of three academic components worth 3 credits each: a seminar, an internship and an independent study. Students can register for the program in any combination of these three components for anywhere between 3 and 9 credits. During the program you will enjoy a field trip to Malaysia’s Taman Negara National Park, as well as an excursion to the historic city of Malacca and a number of site visits around Kuala Lumpur. Students enrolled in the seminar will also go on a 4-day trip to Singapore. The program is open to graduate and undergraduate students from any U.S. university.
