AU’s School of International Service (http://www.american.edu/sis) offers courses in international organizations and politics, U.S. foreign policy, international economic policy, global environmental politics, international business and peace and conflict resolution. SIS is the largest school of its kind in the U.S., with more than 60 full-time faculty members dedicated solely to the field of international studies. Alumni include NBC’s White House correspondent David Gregory and Green Party founder Petra Kelly. D.C. internship opportunities are countless, including the Peace Corps, State Department, CNN and many international embassies. International internship opportunities include NATO in Brussels, the U.S. Embassy in Vatican City, Rome, and the Fulbright Commission in London.
