Please note that you will need to reserve an information session and guided tour ahead of your visit.  We offer information sessions and guided tours during the following dates:

* From May 1 until May 23 and from August 11 until August 29, our Admissions Directors will conduct information sessions Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

* From May 27 through August 7, we will hold information sessions at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., along with an AU Student Ambassador-guided tour concluding at 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively.

* Please check our online calendar for our full schedule: http://admissions.american.edu/fileLibrary/WelcomeCenter_calendar_2008.htm

Our offices are closed on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months, but you can find self-guided tour brochures in the map boxes along Nebraska Avenue. You may also reserve a tour/information session or interview by contacting our Campus Visit office at nassau@american.edu or calling 202-885-6000 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST.  We also hope you can attend an open house.

If you plan to visit campus for a tour or for an event, AU has a partnership with Globetrotter Travel Agency to assist you in arranging your travel.  Some discounts are available.  Please mention that you are traveling to AU when you make your reservations.  Their telephone number is 1-800-322-7032.  High school juniors and seniors doing campus visits can take a parent along for free on Amtrak.  Register at 888-99-VISIT or www.campusvisit.com/amtrak for a discount code. You can also go to http://www.american.edu/tour/visiting.html for a list of nearby hotels.
