Cassell Hall, an eight-story, L-shaped building, is under construction at the northwest corner of the main campus along AU's border with the Wesley Theological Seminary. The building, formerly a surface parking lot near the President's Office Building, will accommodate 360 beds for upper classmen. The building will feature an approximately 8,000-square foot fitness facility that will double the amount of fitness space on the Main Campus, a bicycle parking area, and a pedestrian plaza that will link it to the existing student residential community. Cassell Hall will integrate seamlessly with adjacent institutional and residential properties. Construction is expected to be completed by August 2013.
