May 9, 2013 - Concrete floor leveling and toping installation is under way.
Installation of interior wall, duct work, electrical work, and sprinkler systems continues.
First floor drywall installation is complete. Second floor drywall installation is expected to be completed this week.
Work on the sanitary line continues.
Exterior masonry work continues.
Chilled water line connection from Katzen is near completion. Roofing installation is 95 percent complete.
Boiler shut down and heating system interconnections to Katzen are scheduled for early June.
Tree removal permits for trees in the public space affected by the water line construction are being coordinated with AU Grounds Operations and the appropriate District governmental agencies.

Katzen chilled water interconnection/outage work is scheduled for March 22 – 23.

March 7, 2013 - Interior wall, duct, and sprinkler systems installation continues.
Roof planking is complete with exception of four panels that will be place once structural re-shoring is complete. Roof material installation is expected to begin next week.
Interconnection of the chilled water system currently is expected to begin on March 22.
February 28, 2013 - Third-floor planking installation and metal framing is complete.
Roof plank installation is expected to begin at the end of this week.
February 25, 2013 - Construction on the first and second floors and wall sections are complete.
Installation of underground heating and cooling piping between Nebraska and Katzen is complete.
Cleaning and re-grading of the area behind Katzen is under way, and is expected to be completed by March 8, weather permitting.
Improvement on access through 44th Street gate, including reconstruction of the sidewalk, is scheduled for the week of February 25, weather permitting.

Nebraska Ave water interconnection work has begun and will continue during the winter break.

December 5, 2012 - Construction of the first floor and terrace level telecommunications data room walls are under way.
This week, the last concrete grade beams were poured; new terrace wall pours will be completed; and under-slab plumbing and electrical work is under way.
To make room for the new electrical equipment, relocation of the telecommunication point of presence in the lower level of the existing building has been scheduled.
November 28, 2012 - The first floor walls are under construction.
Concrete grade beam work continues.
Installation of hydronic piping for the interconnection with the Katzen Arts Center continues, and is expected to be completed in early December.
Site restoration is expected to begin shortly thereafter, including the replacement of the interconnecting sidewalk between the 44th street pedestrian gate and Katzen Arts Center.
November 16, 2012 - First floor walls are under construction.
Concrete grade beams work continues.
November 7, 2012 - First floor wall sections have begun to be installed.
Grade beams continue to be poured, with the majority having been completed. Concrete base floor will be poured a soon as the grade beams have been completed.
Installation of heating and cooling piping for the interconnection with the Katzen Arts Center has begun and is expected to continue for the next two weeks.
Telecommunication equipment in the lower level of the existing building is scheduled to be relocated to make room for new electrical equipment.
A meeting was held with representatives of the Ft. Gaines Citizen's Association to discuss ongoing communication between AU's project team and the Association. A proposal was made for a construction bulletin to be issued bi-weekly by AU to the Association that would highlight current activities and identify dates when noise or other site activities may affect the neighborhood.
October 24, 2012 - Remaining installation of grade beams continues. Grade beams adjacent to the northeast corner of the existing building are being reinforced with additional underpinning, and are expected to be completed shortly.
Pouring of the first floor vertical walls and slab is under way.
Utility location and coordination is underway. Interconnections to the Katzen Center also are being installed.
October 19, 2012 - Additional underpinning to reinforce the grade beams adjacent to the northeast corner of the existing building is expected to be completed next week.
October 10, 2012 - Installation of the foundation grade beams continues, and is expected to be completed in the next week.
October 3, 2012 - Installation of the foundation grade beams continues.
Structural accommodations have been made to the existing building in preparation for elevator pit construction.
September 27, 2012 - Foundation piles are complete.Installation of the foundation grade beams has begun.
September 19, 2012 - Site excavation continues.
September 11, 2012 - Site excavation is almost complete with only a concrete foundation left to excavate.
Installation of foundation pile is expected to continue through next week and completed by September 19.
Construction of the concrete grade beam is expected to begin on September 13.
September 5, 2012 - Foundation pile installation continues, and is expected to be completed by Friday, Sept. 7.
Electrical and mechanical work connecting the existing Nebraska Hall to the new extension began on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
August 15, 2012 - Site excavation continues.
August 8, 2012 - Site excavation continues with the removal of the concrete and asphalt driveway and parking area.
Drilling and foundation construction will begin next week.
August 1, 2012 - The temporary access road has been completed and site excavation has begun with the removal of concrete and asphalt driveway and parking area.
July 24, 2012 -Work on site began on Monday, July 23.
Construction of temporary entrance road will begin this week.
Drill rig will be brought on site Thursday, July 26 to begin work on foundation pile.

July 19, 2012 - Permits for the removal of “special” trees are being secured currently.
Work has begun on the relocation of the electrical generator to the other side of the building. Related miscellaneous electrical work is expected to take place during the remainder of this week.
Construction to entrance road will begin this week.
July 12, 2012 - Storm damage was minimal within the construction zone.
Work on the entrance road to the site is expected to begin later this week.
May 16, 2012 - The Nebraska Hall parking lot is now closed due to construction. A construction fence will be erected in the next several days. Parking is available in the Nebraska Avenue commuter parking lot or the Katzen Arts Center parking garage.
May 15, 2012 – Demolition and site preparation work on the three-story addition to be built on Nebraska Hall is scheduled to begin in mid-May.
