The Comeback America Initiative (CAI) teams up with the American University School of Public Affairs to present “Don’t Freak Out, Speak Out,” a student-oriented forum to focus on our nation’s massive and growing debt.

The event will be hosted by David M. Walker, former U. S. Comptroller General and CEO of the Comeback America Initiative.

“Speak Out, Don’t Freak Out” will draw on a student survey of basic financial literacy questions and polling them on their optimism for the future. The survey will uncover key issues that students are most worried about and propose possible reforms and solutions, which will be followed by a question and answer session. Complete the survey here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MV5PHS5.

The event partners are American University Student Government, Georgetown University Student Association, George Washington University Student Association and Howard University Student Association. Co-sponsoring the event are American University Graduate Student Council, American University Kennedy Political Union, American University College Democrats, the Roosevelt Institute, and American University College Republicans.

“Speak Out” is the culminating public event of the “$10 Million a Minute Bus Tour,” a nation-wide grassroots effort to educate and engage the public on our fiscal challenges, and to make these concerns a priority in the presidential election.
