Drawing on the wealth of scholars working on international relations and globalization here in the Washington, D.C. area, this event will bring to the American University campus four experts whose work connects the fields of global ethics, political theory, and international sustainable development. Potential panelists have already been identified and invitations will be extended at the beginning of 2013. The aim of this event will be to help build a richer, more imaginative conversation among an interdisciplinary group of scholars about the place of private moral convictions in public discourse at the global scale. The event will be co-sponsored by the Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs MA program and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.
