The Class to Career Conference (C2C) is a new program hosted by the AU Career Center.
Our highly successful first conference was held January 9-12, 2017 with 29 students, 12 speakers, 7 mock interviewers, and four alumni panelists. Most of the speakers and interviewers were alumni or faculty members. For creating the Class to Career Conference, the C2C team won the 2017 Innovation and Change Staff Performance Award.
The week included 6 site visits to top employers in DC: Smithsonian, Voice of America, The Advisory Board Company, Strathmore (performing arts center), National Institutes of Health, and WAMU 88.5 (an NPR station) and concluded with an etiquette dinner hosted by a leading business etiquette coach.

Connect the dots between the skills you master in the classroom and the top skills employers seek. Learn how to market yourself in your job search and engage with employers, alumni, faculty and Career Center staff through workshops, employer site visits, mock interviews, an alumni panel, and an etiquette dinner. (Attendance is mandatory at every event on each day of this multiday conference.) Come away with a polished resume and cover letter, strengthened interview skills, a plan for enhancing your skill set, and a deeper understanding of different employment sectors. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Recent graduates are also welcome!
