A Message from Executive Director
Students, Alumni, Employers, Faculty and Staff,
Welcome to the American University Career Center. Our services offer American University students and alumni a sequence of programs designed to accompany and enhance academic studies. It is never too early for students to come to the Career Center and speak with one of our advisors. We are here for all students during all their years at AU-- and beyond. Our Internship Programs enable students to obtain field experience related to their education and career goals. The Career Development unit provides students and alumni with career decision-making assistance, job search coaching, graduate school advising, expert career advising services, and the latest information resources. The Office of Merit Awards helps both undergraduate and graduate students identify, prepare, and apply for a variety of merit-based scholarships, awards, and fellowships. The Employer Outreach unit helps connect students, alumni and employers. We are eager to help employers meet their hiring needs and offer a variety of recruiting services including job and internship postings and fairs, networking programs, and on-campus interviewing programs.
