Seniors, the time to start your post-graduate planning is NOW. The Career Center and Kogod Center for Career Development (KCCD) are dedicating Tuesday, September 21st, to helping you get your career or graduate school applications moving forward.
Career Spree features the following activities, just for seniors:
- Snacks, coffee and career information all day in the Career Center (5th Floor, Butler Pavilion)
- Personalized advice through drop-in advising. Advisors are available in the Career Center from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Kogod students can participate in drop-in sessions at KCCD from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In the afternoon, attend our fun mini-workshops. (Schedule below. Each workshop, except for the "Employer Roundtable," will be held twice and last 30 to 45 minutes.)
"Now and Later: Why Now?"
Learn why you should start thinking about a job or graduate school early in the school year, and what steps you can take NOW to ensure the desired outcome LATER. Presented jointly by the Career Center and KCCD.

"How to Tweet Your Way to a New Job"
Social media tools are taking over the job search process. Join us to learn great ways to incorporate Twitter and other social media into your job-search tool kit.

"What NOT to Say in an Interview"
Interviews don't have to be scary or nerve-racking. Learn tips and techniques to avoid interview "don'ts" and what responses best sell the candidate.

In the evening, you can pick up even more tips from top employers, including Booz Allen Hamilton and CNN. You'll get to hear firsthand what an employer wants to see in a resume and what they like to hear in an interview. Pizza will be provided!
