AU has almost 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students. All 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the territories, and more than 140 nations are represented in the student body. Countries with the largest number of students enrolled at AU are Republic of Korea, Japan, France, China, India, Germany, Colombia, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and Turkey.

Global-minded and Independent

Virtually all AU students graduate with at least two years of study in a non-native language, and almost 800 AU students study abroad annually. AU students can be found in over 100 locations in more than 30 countries including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and South America. AU also has the largest School of International Service in the United States and was ranked 3 among Peace Corps’ Top Colleges and Universities.

Academically Talented Leaders

AU students have distinguished academic records as evidenced through their many honors and awards, which include Fulbright, Truman and Marshall Scholars; Rotary Scholars; Javits Fellowships; Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society; and Presidential Management Fellows.
