AmeriCorps is a federal government program that offers its participants community service and leadership experience. Each year, AmeriCorps offers 75,000 opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve through a network of partnerships with local and national nonprofit groups. AmeriCorps positions also offer students educational awards to help pay for their student loans.
