When conducting an analysis on the information technology environment of a country it is important to look at the level of information technology and determine where it is located.  Often times, industries will set shop near one another and form what is known as a cluster.  Within these clusters, it is believed companies enjoy greater speeds to market, higher levels of innovation due to competitive rivalries, and even prestige associated with being part of a "cluster".
Analyzing the geography of information technology also helps pinpoint the existence, or lack there of, of cybercities, technopolies, and high-tech industrial parks.  Discussions of each will be discussed in this section of the website.

Based on the information gathered from the table, Puerto Rico currently meets most of the requirements of the model and is on its way to further developing problem areas.  These   areas include increased access to high technology facilities for companies looking to relocate or set up on the island, the increased availability of funding and support of startups via       incubators, and the continued development of the general infrastructure of the island.
