Kiho Kim, PhD The goal of my research is to understand the role of diseases on coral reefs. Currently, my work is focused on a fungal disease (aspergillosis) affecting Caribbean sea fan corals. Projects on-going in my lab include:
Lab News: Kiho will be co-chairing a session titled "Diseases on Coral Reefs" with Drew Harvell (Cornell) and Cathie Page (James Cook) at the 11th International Coral Reef Symposium in Fort Lauderdale, FL (July 8-11, 2008). Kirby will be starting her PhD in Stephen Macko's Lab at UVa this fall. Kiho was appointed to the Ocean Studies Board of the National Academies. For more information about the OSB, click here.
