Undergraduate Programs

The Biology Department offers students a range of courses covering several disciplines, including Cell Biology, Genetics, Physiology, Microbiology, Behavioral Ecology, Evolutionary Mechanisms, and Marine Biology. The curriculum consists of a core set of courses, further enhanced by the selection of upper level biology-related electives. Classes in the Department are typically small, enhancing student/faculty interaction. Students are encouraged to participate in undergraduate research opportunities both on and off campus. Students who complete the program are uniquely poised for future success in graduate programs in a more specialized field of study, admittance to medical, dental, or veterinary school, and/or careers in biomedical research, to name a few.
