There
are a variety of laboratories on campus that provide a
range of systems to support scholarship and research in
the Computer Science program. In particular, the CS Systems
Laboratory, McKinley 11A, is open to students in the department
for work with advanced applications and systems.
Systems
available include Windows 2000 and Linux. Resources include:
scanner, CD-ROM and CD-RW writers, Zip drives, stereo microphones
and headphones, digital camera, QuickCam and CU-seemE,
and color printing.
An electronics
laboratory in McKinley 9 provides resources for the Computer
Systems Organization & Programming course.
Software
provided to students include: Microsoft Office XP (Word,
Excel, Powerpoint, Access), Microsoft Visual Developer
Studio 7 (Visual C++, Visual Basic, Visual J++, Visual
Interdev), Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft Project, Internet
Explorer, Lotus Notes, Netscape Communicator, Oracle 8
DBMS, Macromedia Web Development Suite (Dreamweaver UltraDev,
Fireworks, Flash), Adobe Photoshop, Allaire Cold Fusion,
and other specialized software for JAVA programming, simulation
and
modeling, and expert systems design and development.
