SETH News |  Bob Moses, Algebra Project

On March 15, 2008, the School of Education Teaching and Health hosted Dr. Bob Moses as the keynote speaker for a symposium titled, "Improving Math Education in Urban Schools." Dr. Moses, founder and director of the Algebra Project and Eminent Scholar, Center for Urban Education & Innovation at Florida International University, spoke to an audience of public school teachers and administrators as well as AU education students.

Moses' son, Omowale Moses also spoke about his participation in the Algebra Project and showed a short video about it. All attendees received a copy of Dr. Moses book, Radical Equations: Civil Rights from Mississippi to the Algebra Project.
