Overview of Certificate Program in Environmental Assessment
This certificate program is designed for professions who are interested in gaining specialized knowledge or training in the environmental field. We offer a non-degree certificate program in environmental Assessment.

Admission Requirements
Open to students with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Students must have completed the following prerequisite courses: calculus, statistics, and organic chemistry. To apply to the program, please return the certificate application with all official transcripts to the Environmental Studies Program.

Financial Support
The university does not provide financial support to students in this program.

Degree Requirements
A total of 15 credit hours of approved graduate study to be completed within four years of admission. Course requirements are as follows:
  • CHEM-671 Principles of Toxicology
  • CSIS-610 Introduction to Geographic Information Systems
  • CSIS-688 Introduction to Decision Analysis
  • ENVS-575 Environmental Risk Assessment
  • ENVS-681 Environmental Research Seminar and Practicum
