- Lee Alan Bleyer is a DC-based writer and teacher. He has taught writing and literature at the Catholic University of America, the University of Maryland (College Park), the Metropolitan School of Professional Studies, and Trinity (Washington) University). His research interests center on the relationship between between popular culture, particularly music, and national identity and politics. Currently, he is writing about the influence of blues on the development of American identity. His first play, The Tragical History of Eleanor Bloom, debuted at Capital Fringe in 2010.
