Chelsea Leigh Horne writes fiction, poetry, and essays. Her stories have twice won the Andrew Bergman award in Creative Writing and her work has appeared in The Paterson Literary Review, The Buffalo News, Washington Independent Review of Books, The Rumpus, Café Americain and elsewhere. Horne is the World/Travel editor at Ragazine, the global online magazine of arts, information, and entertainment.
As a researcher, Horne’s interests include American and transatlantic literature, critical theory, gender, race, trauma, disability studies, neuroaesthetics, and the performing arts. She has presented and published her work both nationally and internationally. As a teacher, Horne has taught workshops and master classes in four continents and leads a winter session study abroad program in the United Kingdom.
She received her MFA in Creative Writing from American University, where she won the Outstanding Scholarship Award for her international research, creative work, presentations, and publications. She holds an MA in Literature from Binghamton University, where she also conducted her undergraduate studies.
