Cathy Crocker

  • Cathy Crocker began her career in 1974 as a teacher of mathematics at McLean High School, Fairfax County Public Schools, Virginia. She ended her career with FCPS when she retired in 2004 as principal of Mount Vernon High School. In September 2004 Dr. Crocker started as an assistant professor at American University in the School of Education, Teaching and Health. She teaches courses that prepare students to teach mathematics, grades K – 12. In addition, she works directly with teachers in the District of Columbia Public Schools by observing teachers teach and conducting workshops on how to teach mathematics so no child is left behind.
