Dorelle Engel Adjunct Professorial Lecturer Health Studies

Bio
Professor Engel has been an Adjunct Instructor teaching Intro to Nutrition Courses for American University since 2010. She also is a full Professor at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. Dr. Engel received her doctorate in Health Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School and her M.S. degree from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in cell biology. She did her undergraduate studies in Biology from Rochester Institute of Technology and Fairleigh Dickinson University. She supports youth in STEM as a judge for the Maryland and International BioGENEius Innovators program, sponsored by Learning Undefeated, Biotechnology Industry (BIO), Biotechnology Institute, and Johnson & Johnson. In addition, she is certified as a Peer Reviewer for Quality Matters, a faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online and blended courses.
