Erica Munkwitz

Professorial Lecturer Department of History

Erica Munkwitz is a historian of modern British and European history. Her research focuses on gender, sport and empire in modern Britain, specifically women’s involvement in equestrianism. She received her BA in History and English from Sweet Briar College and her PhD from American University, where she was honored with the Award for Outstanding Scholarship at the Graduate Level.
