- After graduating from l’Université Gaston Berger de St-Louis in Senegal, Sadibou Sow received an M.A. in French from The University of Montana-Missoula and a Ph.D. in French Studies from Rice University in Houston, TX. His research interests include the (re) construction of identities in Francophone literature, the esthetics of violence, and the representation of Islam in the Francophone novel. Dr. Sow has presented papers at the African Studies Association and the African Literature Association conferences. Since joining The American University in 2010, he has taught French languages courses at the elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. Among other hobbies, Dr. Sow loves to run and watch soccer games, especially the Senegalese National team, Les Lions de la Teranga.
