Mokam’s research interests, which focus on contemporary Francophone writers from the Maghreb and sub-Saharan Africa, include issues of exile, migration, hybridity, transnational culture, and postcolonial condition. She teaches courses in French language, contemporary French civilization through films and Francophone African novels.
