Faculty:

Max Friedman was named the recipient of the Bernath Lecture Prize, a relatively new award that recognizes scholar for "achievements representing excellence in teaching and research in the field of U.S. foreign relations."  Max will deliver a lecture at the SHAFR luncheon at the OAH in 2008, which will then be published in Diplomatic History.           

Pamela Nadell was named American University's Scholar Teacher of the Year. This is the university’s most prestigious faculty award. Pam is the third history professor at American University to be named Scholar Teacher of the Year.

Peter Kuznick was appointed an Organization of American Historians Distinguished Lecturer for a second three-year term beginning in May.
