Laura Kamoie presented a paper called, "Public History: Bringing Students and Communities Together," as part of the panel, "The Humanities: Out of School and Into the Streets," at the American Association of Colleges and Humanities Annual Meeting. In addition, Laura's first issue of Washington History was recently issued.
Alan Kraut presided as president at the luncheon for the Immigration and Ethnic History Society at the AHA meeting.
Allan Lichtman was a featured panelist on the December 30 edition of Face the Nation.
Pamela Nadell was named chair of the nominations committee for the Association of Jewish Studies.
Anna Nelson was a panelist on News Hour with Jim Lehrer for a segment on presidential papers.

Kenneth Durr's dissertation has been accepted for publication by the North Carolina University Press. It is due out next spring.
Stephen Lofgren was featured in a front-page article in the Wall Street Journal (November 30, 2001). The article was about his work recording stories of the September 11th plane crash into the Pentagon as the Chief of Oral History at the Center for Military History.
