Ronald Hamowy

Ronald Hamowy is professor of history emeritus at the University of Alberta   He previously was assistant director of the history of western civilization Program at Stanford University and associate professor of political science at Simon Fraser University.  He received his Ph.D. in social thought at the University of Chicago and is the author of books on the Scottish Enlightenment and on health care and the editor of a collection of essays on drug prohibition.  He has also edited and annotated the Liberty Press two-volume edition of Trenchard and Gordon's Cato’s Letters.
