Alan Kraut's book Goldberger's War, has been awarded the Watson Davis and Helen Miles Davis Prize by the History of Science Society.

Peter Kuznick was quoted in “Le Devoir”. He also gave a paper at the Wellfleet Seminar on History and Psychology titled "Reflections on the 60th Anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Commemorations in the U.S., Japan, and England."

Eric Lohr accepted appointment to chair the program committee for the 2006 National Convention of the American Association for the Advancement of Slavic Studies.  September 2005-November 2006.  He also gave the presentation “The Fate of Russian Language and Russian Soft Power in the Former Soviet States." Works in Progress Seminar.  Kennan Institute for Russian Studies, Woodrow Wilson Center, Washington D.C.  October 13, 2005. Among his other accomplishments:

Caren Hauptvogel began work as a co-curator on an exhibit at The Long Island Museum on the creation and development of Levittown, New York to be tentatively exhibited from Feb. 2007- May 2007

Peter Muller published an article in The Electronic Intifada, 2 October 2005, titled, “Governing Gaza: The role of Lebanon's armed Palestinians.”
