Faculty:

Alan Kraut's presentation of Goldberger's War at Politics and Prose was covered by C-Span.

Allan Lichtman was cited in discussions of presidential politics in a variety of media outlets, including Monday Morning, Baltimore Sun, and USA Today. He was also quoted in more than 30 newspapers over Labor Day weekend on U.S. politics.

Anna Nelson was a panelist for a discussion of Nixon, Kissinger, and Europe at the Library of Congress. C-Span recorded the panel.

Students:

Matthew Clavin presented a paper entitled, "'He was considered as the Washington of St. Domingo': Writing and Remembering Toussaint Louverture and the Haitian Revolution in the Early Republic," at the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture conference.

Brenda Gaydosh presented a paper entitled, "The Politics of Memory: In the Best Interest of Jewry," at the Conference on the Legacy of the Holocaust: National Perpsectives.

Alumni:

Vincent Kapral (BA '89) is now a Navy lieutenant commander, serving on the USS Harry S Truman as an intelligence officer.

Bruce Turkle (BA '77) was elected to partner in the New York law firm of Phillips Nizer, where he focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration in insurnace law, employment discrimination, auditors' liability, and licensing.

Robert Wilensky's (PhD) book manuscript, Military Medicine to Win the Hearts and Minds was accepted for publication by Texas Tech University Press.
