2015 Symposium: The Strength of Cooperation

The Carmel Institute of Russian Culture and History proudly presents its 4th annual symposium discussing "The Strength of Cooperation: Lessons from the Grand Alliance, 1941-1945." 

This event is open to the public, but individual RSVPs are required to by noon Friday, April 10. Please include your professional or university affiliation and status (undergraduate, graduate, faculty/staff, or professional) in your RSVP email. 

Please bring a government-issued form of identification and your RSVP confirmation email (in electronic or paper form) for check-in. Business attire is required.



Complimentary valet parking will be provided in the Katzen Arts Center Garage. Its entrance is from Massachusetts Avenue just north of Ward Circle at 4400 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC. For directions and parking information, see the Katzen Arts Center website. Overflow parking will also be available in Bender Arena, near Katzen Arts Center.



Any guest is welcome to use our university transportation. However, if you do not identify yourself as a student, please indicate on your RSVP that you intend to use our transportation. We want to be sure to provide sufficient space.

University of Maryland (College Park): 11:00 am on the west side of the Stamp Student Union Building

Georgetown University: 11:30 am at North Road and the Kennedy Building (at the south end of the Multipurpose Athletic Field)

George Washington University: 11:30 am at 22nd and G Streets, NW George Mason University: 11:00 am at the Sandy Creek Shuttle Stop.

Buses will then depart from the Kogod shuttle stop at 6:15 pm to return guests to their respective campuses.

Additional university shuttles may be arranged dependent upon demand. Check back for specific pick-up times and locations.
