Performance and Discussion with Israeli Dance Choreographer Rachel Erdos (Updated 9/5)

American University's Department of Performing Arts and Center for Israel Studies host Israeli Choreographer Rachel Erdos for a performance/discussion, moderated by AU Dance Program Director, Melanie George. Performances of Erdos' choreography will include the debut of a piece created for the AU Dance Program as well as Company E's Kathryn Sydell Pilkington and Gavin Stewart performing "Why We Tell", which Rachel created for the company. Company E's executive director, Paul Emerson will participate in the discussion.
Rachel Erdos was born in England. She graduated in 2000 with a first class honours degree in dance from Roehampton Institute London. She received her Master of Arts from The Laban Centre London specialising in choreography. Since then she has been working as an independent choreographer, based mostly in Tel Aviv, Israel. Her work has been seen around the world including Israel, UK, Ireland, Italy, South Africa, Bratislava, China, Denmark, Switzerland, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kasachstan, Tajikistan, Cyprus, Korea and the US.
