Keeping up with the latest research on teaching and writing, while developing interesting courses and effective lesson plans is hard work. These sites should make it a little easier.

The ERIC Clearinghouse and the Purdue OWL Resources for Teachers offer lesson plans and other teaching materials that may help you tackle difficult or potentially boring topics. The AU Center for Teaching Excellence is ready and willing to help AU faculty use computers and the web in their classrooms and navigate Blackboard’s many useful functions. For a great bibliography of writing about composition and rhetoric, take a look at the Bedford Bibliography for Teachers of Writing.

Finally, if it's career development you're looking for, see the National Council of Teachers of English site or Composition, Rhetoric and Writing on the Web, which includes a list of links to other university writing programs.
