On-campus rooms are $89/evening ($70 for double) in Cassell Hall, available Sunday, May 24, through Friday, May 29. There will also be a dining/meal plan available in the nearby Mary Graydon Center for breakfast, lunch, and dinner ($33.50/day or $154/wk).
SampTA particpants are strongly encouraged to room and dine on campus.
If you stay in Cassell Hall, all talks and SampTA activities are within
a less than 5 minute walk. The room rate is considerably less than
local hotels. Also, all meals, also reasonably priced, are within a less than
5 minute walk from all SampTA 2015 activities.
Staying off Campus
If you want to stay off campus, we have blocks of rooms at the following — note that Courtyard Marriott offers better access to public transportation and downtown DC, whereas Georgetown Holiday Inn might better suit drivers and offers easy access to upper Georgetown and Dumbarton Oaks:
From National: Metro Yellow (or Blue) Line to Metro Center, Red Line to Tenleytown/AU, shuttle to campus — in Metro Trip Planner enter National Airport to Tenleytown (30-40 minutes), or see Google Maps itineraries.
From Dulles: Cab/Bus to Reston, Metro Silver Line to Metro Center, Red Line to Tenleytown/AU, shuttle to campus — in Metro Trip Planner enter Wiehle-Reston to Tenleytown (90-120 minutes), or see Google Maps itineraries.
