|
$2000 + $500 travel. Travel funds may be used to present results
at a conference, no later than August 31, 2009

Undergraduates and Masters Students in Mathematics and Statistics

Qualifications
|
Generally, applicants should have completed two years of college
mathematics and statistics. Additional specific qualifications depend on
the project.

Projects
|
Interested students should discuss the possibility of doing a
project with any math/stat faculty member. Click here for descriptions of past research projects.

Requirements
|
Award recipients will present their work at the 2009 Robyn
Mathias Student Research Conference. An exception will be made for students
who wish to present their work at a mathematics or statistics conference
which conflicts with the date of the Mathias Student Research Conference.

Source of Support
|
We expect that at least two awards will be provided by departmental restricted funds,
contributed by donors to support activities in mathematics and statistics. Additional awards may be supported by the College of Arts and Sciences.
