What is the difference between an allopathic and an osteopathic physician? Between a nurse practitioner and a physician assistant? Do podiatrists do surgery? The answers to these and many other questions can be found in a new course, Introduction to the Fields of Medicine. This course will feature guest speakers from various medical careers who will discuss what they do on a daily basis and the education and preparation required to become a professional in their field. This class meets on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. each spring semester and is a great way to learn about careers in medicine.
