Audio Technology MA
The master of arts in audio technology focuses on developing knowledge and skills in a wide range of audio technology related topics. The master’s degree program prepares students for careers as recording studio engineers, audiovisual technicians, sound designers for films, digital multimedia artists, acousticians, and music business professionals. The degree can also be used as a foundation for a doctoral degree at a research university.
The audio technology MA degree program offers students access to brand new recording facilities, a music computation lab, and a music library on campus. The 30 credit program allows students the flexibility to choose 15 credits of electives to tailor the degree to their interests. Students can concentrate in music recording and production or computer music.
Faculty members who have a wide range of audio technology expertise offer mentorship throughout the program. In addition to full-time faculty, audio engineers nationally recognized in the field teach classes in the program.

Internships, often secured through faculty connections, are available at recording studios, radio stations, post-production facilities, and live performance venues throughout the area.
